(Oh for the Love of Books is a play on "In My Mailbox", hosted by Kristi@The Story Siren)
This week was a really great week in books. I received a big package from Amazon.ca at the beginning of the week and then made a shopping trip to Chapters to acquire a few books that had long been on my "to-read" list. I've spent most of the week curled up in bed with a cup of tea by my side working my way through my lovely purchases. If that ain't heaven who knows what is?

According to my reviews I've already whipped my way through the Darkest Powers series and it was pretty great! Read it if you haven't.
I'm currently reading Paranormalcy and it's a riot so far. The narration and dialogue is very witty and full of laugh out loud hilarity. I like my paranormal errieness mixed with a little humour so this one is shaping up to be a great read :) Eagerly anticipating Shade, which I'm trying to hold on to for just a bit longer since the next in the series is set to be released in early May.
YOU'RE FROM OTTAWA!? ME TOO! HIGH-FIVE! *holds up hand for high-five* I want to learn French so I can move to Gatineau. Or maybe Paris. ;)
ReplyDeleteLet me know how you like Paranormalcy -- I've yet to read it, but have heard mixed things about it.
Here's my IMM :)
Hey Eden! Yay thumbs up for Ottawa! :p
ReplyDeleteI'll put up a review for Paranormalcy when I'm done but so far so good!
Good luck with the French lessons...think big, go to Paris! :)

Great Mailbox. I really have to read Paranormalcy New Follower! I live in Montreal too =P
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for checking my blog out earlier! :)
ReplyDeleteI really really want to read Paranormalcy too! I'll be interested to see what your final take on it is!
And as for City of Bones....I finished it last night and I'm in love!!!! It was so so so good! I literally could not put it down for the past two days. I'm going to have to go to the bookstore soon to pick up the next one! The only thing that really disappointed me was how things ended up between Jace and Clary :P I don't want to get into specifics in case I ruin it for someone else who happens to read my comment but I'm sure you know what I mean lol! I love Jace so much! Why did the author have to do that to me!!! Oh well, hopefully the second book will redeem the love plot for me :P
Awesome group of books you have here!! I love The Darkest Powers trilogy!! I really want to read Forget You. Paranormalcy is great! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog! I'm now following you in return!
