Waiting on Wednesday {10}

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This weeks much anticipated book release is:
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Hardcover, 338 pages
Expected publication: September 29th 2011 by Dutton
From Goodreads:
Budding designer Lola Nolan doesn’t believe in fashion . . . she believes in costume. The more expressive the outfit -- more sparkly, more fun, more wild -- the better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood.

When Cricket -- a gifted inventor -- steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.
Why am I waiting on this? I'm sure everyone who read Anna and the French Kiss is. The book was great. Sweet, real, touching and had a really super cute love story mixed in. I very much enjoyed Perkins's first book so I will definitely be reading the second which seems to involve some cute and quirky characters. Lola I hope will be a great heroine. She already seems very different from Anna and I like that. Not that Anna herself wasn't a great heroine, but I like that Perkins's is switching it up - keeping things fresh. Plus, I have to say that I love stories that revolve around friends becoming more - or friends reuniting and seeing each other in a new way. This story has both.
This one should be equally entertaining as it's predecessor. Can't wait!
What are you waiting on?
