Hallowed the second installment in Cynthia Hand's Unearthly series is due out January 24th, 2012 in the US, but the UK version due out a few weeks earlier on January 2nd, 2012 bears this cover. Christian, a semi-main character from the first novel, but seemingly main character in the second is the face of this UK version. I personally like the background image but not so much the guy front and center on the book. This is not how I pictured Christian and although Clara is on the covers for both the first and second books for the US version I don't mind it as much knowing what she looks like. The boys on the other hand I'd prefer to leave up to my imagination :p I have to say though that this version matches well with the UK version of Unearthly.
For comparisons sake here are the US versions of books 1 and 2.
So thoughts? Which version do you like better?
personally I think I'm still partial to the US versions, although I will be on the lookout for book 3 which might just bear Tucker's pretty face - then again I might be worried that the model won't live up to my imagination version of the pretty farm boy with an attitude!
I actually like the Hallowed cover for the UK version better then the US one...but I haven't read this series yet so maybe my opinion would change with the book!
