So I'm new to the whole blogging universe and although I have been reviewing the books I read for over a year on Goodreads, I've never thought to request reads from publishers. A friend of mine mentioned netGalley to me and I went online to check it out. I made up a profile and requested my first titles thinking that nothing would come of it. Well surprise surprise when today I received 3 notifications from Harlequin and HarlequinTeen to let me know that my requests had gone through.
What a treat since I got the email just as I left my last exam! Now I will be curling up over the weekend with some great new reads!
On the list to review are:
- Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz
- The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross
- Seduction & Scandal by Charlotte Featherstone
I'm really looking forward to all three as each is a new author for me. Kady Cross's novel will also be my first foray into Steampunk which is awesome because I'm hearing great things about the genre.
Thanks netGalley and Harlequin!
I am so happy for you =)! And jealous too ;)
ReplyDeleteYour reviews will stun them!
I've been meaning to sign up for Netgalley for a while now! Do they send you paper copies or electronic? I cannot stand reading off of a computer screen
ReplyDeleteIt really depends, Natalie, some send you print copies others give you a few online options including Kindle and the like. All the books I requested are through Harlequin and they offered electronic copies, but you can request other options if you want. They may give them, they may not. You should try it though! It's fun :)
