I was good this week and only got boks from the library. I now have a moutning stack of 17 books to be read and then returned...ooops.
I said to my mom the other day when I went to pick up my latest stack, that the library "holds" system is likeChristmas morning every week. I put things on hold as I get the urge to read them and then watch my number in line countdown until finally I get a notice that books are ready to be picked up. I go to the holds shelf and there they are all marked with my name! The BOOK SANTA has arrived :D Makes my day brighter lol
So here they are - the rundown of books Santa brought me this week.
Winter Longing by Tricia Mills
Stork by Wendy Delsol
After reading Melina Marchetta's amazing novels Saving Francesca and The Piper's Son I had to get my hands on more. I liked the description of Jellicoe Road so here's hoping I found me another winner.
I read Halfway to the Grave in November of 2010 but didn't finish it. I remember that it started out well enough and then I slowly lost interest. It has such great reviews though so I want to give this series another shot. I hope I like it better the second time around. I do remember that the witty dialogue and intriguing Bones had me laughing.
Can't go wrong with Elizabeth Hoyt books. She is quickly becoming one of my all time favourite historical romance authors, up there with Lisa Kleypas. Her book Wicked Intentions was one of the best romances I've read - EVER. It's amazing and the series is shapping up really well :) So I got some of her earlier books to tide me over until her next release comes out.
To Taste Temptation (#1 The Four Soldiers Series) by Elizabeth Hoyt - mainly reading because the characters from the second in the series first appear in this book.
To Seduce a Sinner (#2 The Four Soldiers Series) by Elizabeth Hoyt
The Serpent Prince (#3 Princes Trilogy) by Elizabeth Hoyt
Great IMM this week! I'm interested to see how or if your opinion of Halfway to the Grave changes. I'll be waiting for your review! hehe.

I've got halfway to the grave on hold at the library but it hasn't come in yet =[ I'm dying to read it-everyone seems to love that series. I've got Jellicoe road too but haven't yet got round to reading it.

I love the library soooo much too! Without it I would go broke from how many books I feel the need to read! Stork is on my to-read list right now...so I'm looking forward to reading your review of it!
ReplyDeleteGreat set! Jellicoe Road is better than Saving Francesca and Piper's Son, both of which I loved. J.R. is her masterpiece I think. I hope you love it.
