Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine
This weeks much anticipated book release is:
Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer
Hardcover, 400 pages
Expected Publication: July 26th 2011 by Philomel
From Goodreads
This thrilling sequel to the much-talked-about Nightshade begins just where it ended-Calla Tor wakes up in the lair of the Searchers, her sworn enemy, and she's certain her days are numbered. But then the Searchers make her an offer-one that gives her the chance to destroy her former masters and save the pack-and the man-she left behind. Is Ren worth the price of her freedom? And will Shay stand by her side no matter what? Now in control of her own destiny, Calla must decide which battles are worth fighting and how many trials true love can endure and still survive.
Why am I waiting on this one? Well, I haven't even read Nightshade yet, it's been sitting on my bookshelf waiting for the perfect opporunity for me to get lost in a good book and with all the great things I've read about NightShade I can tell I'm bound to love it. It's only natural that with this expectation I'd be more than excited about the next in the series being so close to release. When I love a book I immediately feel the need to devour the next in the series, so it's hard when there is no next one for me to pick up. Even though I haven't read Nightshade yet, I already have a favourite between the two male leads :p go figure. But from everything I've read I'm also worried Calla won't choose the guy I'm rooting for :( We shall have to see!
PS - I read on Cremer's site yesterday that Penguin has decided to change the look of the next two novels in the series, hence the drastic change in design between book one and two. If you haven't yet bought yourself a copy of Nightshade and are one of those people who (like me!) like books in a series to match, go buy the paperback version because it'll match the hardcover version of Wolfsbane. The cover above is not the cover that will be release come July 26th.
What are you waiting on this week?
