Fictional Places: 

If you could visit any fictional setting in a story, where would you go?

Personally I have a few places, but the ones that stick out most in my mind right now are (in no particular order)

1. Idris, magical city on the Immortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Pretty much anyone who reads YA fiction is blogging about this set of books right now and with good reason. The 4th in the series City of Fallen Angels came out on April 5th, 2011 and it's been the hot topic what with the total drool-worthyness of one Jace Wayland. My God I need to get me one of him!

2. Vampire Academy, home to kick-ass super girl Rose Hathaway, star of Richelle Meads Vampire Academy series. I would love to fall into this action-packed, dangerous, supernatural world where men like Dimitri roam the halls of the academy in all their sexiness. I'm beginning to see a common theme that I pretty much want to be where ever my leading fantasy man is...hmmm

3. I'm a lover of historicals - fiction, romance, classics you name it, I love to read about days gone by. I would pick a few books here as examples: Elizabeth Hoyt's 18th century St. Giles, England in her book Wicked Intentions, The Tudor court from Diane Haegar's The Secret Bride, anywhere that would let me roam a castle, dress like a princess, cause some scandal and get the prince..or the pauper, I'm not fussy ;)

4. Dublin in Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. I want to kick some Fae petunia (as Mac would say) and get down with Jericho Barrons. Don't care what he his or who he hangs out with, he is the definition of dark, mysterious and oh so addictive! I'm actually super excited because I'll be headed to Ireland in September and will be living in Dublin for a while so reading this series was a huge treat. Maybe I'll find Jericho while I'm there?
